A country is one of the political units which the world is divided into, covering a particular area of land.

Which unfortunately only covers land and make no reference to what a "country" might call its "territorial waters" maybe there's a clue in the name.
Political unit, but not necessarily at the sovereign state level. Scotland is a political unit. So is Jersey. So is Gibraltar.

As I have mentioned a couple of times, it is not a very precisely defined word in terms of inclusions and exclusions.

Agreed its not a very well defined word unless you are Welsh. On the other hand reminding the Welsh that they are a conquered nation and an English principality is always good to wind them up.

In fact price of Wales comes from Welsh being a principality so effectively Prince of Wales is King of Wales.

If you want to wind the Welsh up then ignore me. But its a bit too easy.

You could well be right, there was a narrow area of law whereby they could pass their own laws. Subjects like culture and language were devolved, and Health to some extent (they have free prescriptions, for example).

Wales is slowly diverging from England in some areas,À where once there was a single England and Wales leg system.

Please don't try to spin this back to the EU, we're having a sensible discussion here. OG and me have traded posts without insult for some considerable minutes, don't fecking ruin it...
