Given their track-records, imo they'd be considered un-electable by anyone except the EU. And just to correct you, we didn't vote for Juncker, and Poland didn't vote for Tusk. My original statement was entirely subjective, as are most statements on here. His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain... -
So why do you brexiteers hold on to Gibraltar if small countries don't countOriginally posted by Mordac View PostOne of them is the former PM of a country the size of Sheffield, .
This is total BS. You have no idea how hated Putin is in Poland and wouldn't getting into the Euro be a badge of honour in the eyes of you gammons?and the other couldn't even get his own country into the Euro when he was PM, and is less popular there than Putin.Comment

You're free to point out anywhere that I have made factual errors, as we are all free to point that out where others make them.Originally posted by Yorkie62 View PostSays the remainer who based all evidence on why Brexit is so bad on 2nd guesses, someone else's opinion, crystal ball predictions, etc.

Gibraltar isn't a country. It's a UK overseas territory. And it really winds the Spanish up that it has a Union Jack flying over it.Comment

Gibraltar isn't a country, it's a British Overseas Territory. The answer to your question lies in the word "British".Originally posted by Eirikur View PostSo why do you brexiteers hold on to Gibraltar if small countries don't count

Putin is indeed hated in Poland, but Tusk is hated more. I don't understand the second part of that sentence. Is it something to do with the price of ham joints? His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

The term 'country' is arguable and does not necessarily refer to a sovereign state. Consider usage for country of origin and other country codes. Also consider England as a constituent country of the UK.Originally posted by Mordac View PostGibraltar isn't a country, it's a British Overseas Territory. 'Territory' is more accurate but it would be hard to demonstrate that country is 'incorrect'.Comment

Easy to demonstrate that the use of the word COUNTRY is incorrect. Does the UN recognise it as a separate country? Does SPAIN recognise it as a country in its own right?Originally posted by Old Greg View PostThe term 'country' is arguable and does not necessarily refer to a sovereign state. You are confusing country with sovereign state. Easy mistake to make, but now you know better, so let's move on.Originally posted by Yorkie62 View PostEasy to demonstrate that the use of the word COUNTRY is incorrect. Does the UN recognise England Scotland or Wales as nations? No. Yet we still call them countries or nations.Originally posted by Yorkie62 View PostEasy to demonstrate that the use of the word COUNTRY is incorrect. They also all have their own football team just like Gib.Comment
