Strange brexit related agency application refusal

So I sent my cv to an agency for a contract in Dublin. They responded like this:
Thank you for applying for the above position.

I have reviewed your details, but currently the client is seeking Irish nationals (due to the Brexit situation).
    Sounds crazy.
British citizen keep their right to work in Ireland after Brexit
EU citizen keep their right to work in Ireland after Brexit
    So nothing changes
Why advertise on a British job board in the first place
Tempted to reply as they are illegally discriminating against EU citizen, but also know I will never hear back from them

Rights go beyond those of EU citizens.

I suspect what they are doing is thinking outside the box - hoping to find an expat who wants to return to the Emerald Isle.

A relative of mine who has lived in France for many years has come up against this kind of thing several times... "mais vous êtes Anglais! ..." then Gallic head shake of disbelief / astonishment and of course he never hears back about the job.

That's how free movement of labour works, outside the UK

Change the keyword search you are using to include "scarecrow", "speed bump", and "crash test dummy" and I am sure the offers will come flooding in.

It worked for OG after all, although he also included "toxic little cloud of moral indignation" and "sociopath" on his CV for personality clarity.

For once in your life you're nearly bang on the mark. I moved over for a permie job then handed in notice after 3 and a half months and stole my employer's client.

Well you know what they say, give an infinite number of chimpanzees typewriters and sooner or later they will come up with Eirikur's memoirs!

And even then, he'll manage to **** it up spectacularly...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
