    For once in your life you're nearly bang on the mark. I moved over for a permie job then handed in notice after 3 and a half months and stole my employer's client.

    A relative of mine who has lived in France for many years has come up against this kind of thing several times... "mais vous êtes Anglais! ..." then Gallic head shake of disbelief / astonishment and of course he never hears back about the job.

    That's how free movement of labour works, outside the UK

    I have reviewed your details, but currently the client is seeking Irish nationals (due to the Brexit situation).
    Sounds crazy.
    British citizen keep their right to work in Ireland after Brexit
    EU citizen keep their right to work in Ireland after Brexit
    So nothing changes
    Why advertise on a British job board in the first place
    Tempted to reply as they are illegally discriminating against EU citizen, but also know I will never hear back from them
