Although it is in the Express so needs to be taken with a pinch of salt
The point being called out is no different from what we have been saying for a while - some politicians in Westminster are really struggling with not getting their own way - and the more they try and get it the more they become exposed.

And how are they going to get the remaining 27 countries in the EU to agree an extension.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostThe fiends!
The only things Parliament is capable of in this whole pantomime is
1. Agreeing and voting for May's original deal (The EU have already accepted and agreed this)
2. Rescind Article 50
3. leave with no deal
Everything else requires agreement with the EU.Comment

Negotiation is the answer. The world can see that the UK is floundering.Originally posted by Yorkie62 View PostAnd how are they going to get the remaining 27 countries in the EU to agree an extension.

Absolutely, but for a bunch of politicians to think they can unilaterally extend A50 is a joke, and they are making a joke of UK politics just as JC and the Labour party are by refusing to negotiate unless 'no deal' is taken off the table.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostNegotiation is the answer. The scary part comes when we try to get anything Brexit orientated through the upper houseComment

No MP thinks A50 can be extended unilaterally. That is a straw man.Originally posted by Yorkie62 View PostAbsolutely, but for a bunch of politicians to think they can unilaterally extend A50 is a joke, and they are making a joke of UK politics just as JC and the Labour party are by refusing to negotiate unless 'no deal' is taken off the table.

If Article 50 is rescinded then the UK will continue paying billions to the EU. The question is what motivation would the EU have to turn this down ?
be afraid
