Fact is millions died in famines in all colonies and before they were colonies. They still die in famines mainly due to nutters and incompetence. The Germans however decided to actively murder millions. That is a completely different choice and one that should shame us all.

I am not sweeping them under the carpet just challenging the assurance that the deaths were intentional or due to malice.
