And which Referendums were those, or are you just trying to twist the facts again because you have lost the argument?
The other poster said it was the “biggest vote”, not “the biggest referendum turnout”, not “the biggest percentage”, etc.

“Biggest” based on what?
Percentage of the electorate who voted? No. 1992 had a bigger turnout, as did some in the 1950s.
Population of the UK?
Is it because the population is increasing that there are more voters? In 1971 the total population was 56 million. It’s increased by 10 million since then.
In 1971 the average life expectancy in the UK was 72. It’s now 81. Around 6 million people in the UK fall into that age range.
