Also - didn't the EU tell Scotland they would go the back of the queue if they left the UK?

Yes, and remaining in the EU was one of the reasons they stayed. Now they're on their way out anyway, there's nothing to lose by going independent. (Or at least, not that perceived benefit).

Are we talking about Mrs McMiggins and her knitting circle here or a more substantial number of people?

Yes, and they meant it. They have enough basket-case economies to bail out already, so you might be on a waiting list, but don't hold your breath Nicola...

You mean "apart from the enormous subsidies provided (mostly) by the English taxpayers?". I'll admit to being quite surprised Wales voted to leave and Scotland voted to remain, if anything it should have been the other way round. The Scots have had their fishing industry massacred by the EU, whereas the Welsh have Aero and motor industries which depend on good trading relations with the EU. Perhaps it's a case of the Scots "would rather be ruled by the EU than the bastard English bastards." If that's true, Nicola Krankie can't lose, surely...

Once again, no logical connection between what I wrote and your reply. Don't you understand what the word "perceived" means? Or do you simply have difficulty understanding written text?

Lets have a stab. Maybe we can make it simple and bring it down to Natwit's level?

Your unproven theory is that the Scottish voted to remain in the UK mainly because that meant they could stay in the EU? Now we are leaving the EU then Scotland will leave the Union.

If that is so why when the Brexit Vote was already promised did that not factor in their plans?
Why did King Alex & Wee Burney not arrange a deal with the EU to become members if they voted out?
Why didn't leaving the EU factor heavily in the canvassing for the independence vote?
Apparently everything from Geldorrrfff not releasing another record to your piles are because of Brexit so surely they would have mentioned it?

Our unproven theory is that the Scots aren't willing to give up the large subsidies they receive from the Barnet formula and some of them (obviously not from the meth factories in Glasgei) actually like being part of the UK?

So you are saying England is a nett contributor to Scotland similar to the EU? So why do brexiteers want to leave the EU but not the UK?
