If not it is the government so we would have done it anyway.
What was it you feckwits used to trot out when you didn't understand statistics oh yes.
I assumed you had read it in a cracker as you obviously don't understand it.
If you see a correlation you dig deeper, not emit a series of brain farts that supports your ignorance.
The EU CAP had a direct and beneficial effect on the numbers of sheep in the UK.
Your homework is to find out why - try using a 6 year old if you're incapable.
Anyhoo, I don't suppose a bottom-feeding tea-maker to the immigrant IT talent like you knows much about sheep farming.
Neither do I, so when the farmers have a moan I suppose they know summat of what they're about and now realise they've made a silly mistake.
They won't be the only ones.Hard Brexit now!

It would be hard to make a new British agricultural policy worse than the CAP, short of reverting to the subsidising production directly, which created the notorious wine lakes and butter mountains of the past.
There are several options for reform because of Brexit. Discounting reverting to more of the same, the first option is to shift some of the subsidy from paying to own land towards more spending on the environment – i.e. shifting the balance from Pillar I to Pillar II.
The only thing EU seems to have done is formed sheepnet (which sounds like a welsh porn site) in 2016.

How could the UK be self sufficient? During my fly by visit down south I could not help notice the number of overweight folk. Not a sight I’m used to.

Where do you think sheep graze? Do you think the farmers keep them in their living rooms and feed them steak?
You need to get out of Slough occasionally.Hard Brexit now!

It shouldn’t really be our problem, and we shouldn’t really care - Brexiters are the ones that lied to them, and the farmers (generally) supported Brexit, so in software terms they’re eating their own dog food.
I find it really odd though that despite all the bluster it seems to be Remainers that care about the country, while the stock answer from Brexiters is “f*ck them, they should be more efficient anyway”Comment

Wow, around £300 mln over 5 years, one good movie makes more.
By comparison USA -
"Between 2011 and 2015, Saudi Arabia was the destination for nearly 10% of all U.S. arms exports.[13] In 2016, the Obama administration proposed a series of arms deals worth $115 billion, including warships, helicopters, and maintenance"Comment
