You forget to mention people wanting to buy British products abroad. They don't have a very good reputation of quality and durability. -
But.....but......but........we will be free to make trade agreements with the world and they're queuing up to sign instant trade deals on favourable terms. Is that not how Boris and JRM are going to arrange it ???Originally posted by WTFH View PostWell, if the pound collapses (Brexit take: adjusts to the correct level compared with the overly high rate it has been at for years), then British products would, theoretically, be cheaper abroad.
Of course, that's reliant on there being British products to sell abroad and favourable trading agreements to make the sales. When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

At least we won't have to wait for permission from Wallonia (which isn't even a sodding country)Originally posted by TestMangler View PostBut.....but......but........we will be free to make trade agreements with the world and they're queuing up to sign instant trade deals on favourable terms. Well you will because when the UK crashes out without any agreements, they're going to have to start negotiating from scratch with the EU and Wallonia are going to take notes of the comments you've made and veto it allOriginally posted by Mordac View PostAt least we won't have to wait for permission from Wallonia (which isn't even a sodding country)

Also British manufacturers pursue quantity not quality, following the American model. With blue workers striking as soon as someone blinks.
If UK was an export power to begin with Rover would be still strong with or without the EU. Blame whoever you like, UK workers are just not productive despite record lows level of unemployment."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". And that Brexiteer and Secretary of State for International Trade, Liam Fox, agrees with that exact sentiment:Originally posted by scooterscot View PostAlso British manufacturers pursue quantity not quality, following the American model. With blue workers striking as soon as someone blinks.

Have you been to Wallonia? They make Norfolk look like the cutting edge...Originally posted by darmstadt View PostWell you will because when the UK crashes out without any agreements, they're going to have to start negotiating from scratch with the EU and Wallonia are going to take notes of the comments you've made and veto it all

I've done a lot of work for clients in Wallonia. They have good infrastructure, plenty of multi-national businesses and a few speed camerasOriginally posted by Mordac View PostHave you been to Wallonia? They make Norfolk look like the cutting edge...
. Apart from Charleroi in the south, which is a bit tulip, the rest of it is pretty good.
