    Brexit needs to happen - and properly

    No fudges, no CU, no SM. We need it to happen.
    No one's going to change their mind unless consequences become manifest.
    So let's make it so
    Hard Brexit now!

      It's like the EU needs a massive dump. No point messing around: strong cup of black coffee, Ambrose Evans Pritchard article and get it out of the system and flushed away as quickly as possible.

        It is rather funny, that sasguru is an example of the journey* that the most remoaners deny even exists;

        * Remainer -> Leaver

        Also, how much (or %) do your dumps contribute towards the total 'household finances'?, as I feel the dump analogy is fatally flawed in that regard.

          When you understand what an analogy is, feel free to join the conversation in an informed way.

            No, remain voters are wanting something to happen. Two years after the vote and still Brexit has not delivered anything positive for the UK.
            Those of us running businesses are aware that the ongoing uncertainty and confusion coming from the UK government and their leave advisors is having a negative impact on the future of British businesses. The sooner the UK government actually does something, the sooner we can move on.

            Leaving the EU is a monumentally stupid decision.

            Saying we're going to leave the EU then dragging out the leaving process while providing no confidence on where the country is going is even worse.
            …Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

                  Unfortunately i have to agree. Greece has taken years to realise the awfulness and vulnerability of their position. Now the future is bright now that they've taken the medicine. An illness of their own making. You cannot have the sweet without the sour. And my the UK has so much sour to come.

                  Have been trying to play out the endgame in my head. What's it going to be like? Thoughts include;

                  1) The pound will devaluate considerably against emerging and connected economies.

                  2) I think because of 1 we'll not see a property crash. Now wages can start climbing to a more sensible ratio.

                  3) But number 2 only works if you have *jobs*

                  4) With major employers looking to relocate job growth will have to be internal. Now if that is the case the UK is going to an old folks home as the decades pass to rebuild home grown industries.

                  5) Home grown industries then are floated on the stock market for Tory friends to buy and sell. Happy days.

                    What's even funnier is that you have entirely missed every possible nuance of everything sasguru has ever posted, and just gone for the plain reading. It takes a master of ignorance and stupidity, worthy of the highest brexiter honour, to achieve that.

                    Well done.
