UK 4th quarter GDP revised down

December’s trade figures also disappointed, with the trade balance widening sharply from -£3.65bn to -£4.89bn against predictions of it narrowing to -£2.4bn.

....overall today’s data docket has highlighted the uncertain state of the UK economy at the end of 2017.

It also builds upon fears sparked after the poor January PMIs released by Markit a few days ago that the UK economy may not have started the new year on a particularly strong footing.
      Pound down today.
