Continuity Remain is of course an IRA reference, and use of the term should be seen with the context of the hard right spectrum that runs from the Mail and Telegraph's use of inflammatory language to the murder of Jo Cox. -
Absolute bollux. It’s used across the mainstream media, not only by the right wing press. Where’s your evidence?Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostContinuity Remain is of course an IRA reference, and use of the term should be seen with the context of the hard right spectrum that runs from the Mail and Telegraph's use of inflammatory language to the murder of Jo Cox.Comment

Evidence? A bit of common sense and analysis is all that is needed.Originally posted by jamesbrown View PostAbsolute bollux. It’s used across the mainstream media, not only by the right wing press. Where’s your evidence?Comment

Are you saying that the similarity between the terms 'Continuity IRA' and 'Continuity Remain' is coincidental?Comment
-
It is similar to Climate Deniers and it is most definitely a reference to the IRA.
I personally don't have a problem admitting to being either a Climate Denier or a Continuity Remoaner. It means you're winning the argument.
I'm alright JackComment

I would’ve thought that were obvious from the “absolute bollux”. It’s an appropriately derogatory term for the BAU Remain campaign, which grew from the ashes of the Remain campaign. I see no overlap between the etymology of the two terms but, whatever, I’m not calling Remainers a bunch of Irish terrorists, FFS.Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostYeah yeah.

Interesting, and curious, that you’re in both of these camps, I think.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostIt is similar to Climate Deniers and it is most definitely a reference to the IRA.
