      Absolutely agree, except you are looking at it from the wrong perspective.

      Just like Phase 1, where the UK spent 6 months arguing and then when the deadline was up just agreed to what the EU had been asking for in the first place, we're going to spend the next 12 months with our government dithering.

      Then, when the time is up, lo and behold there is more money. From the UK, that is, to pay for more obligations that we'll be signing up to during the transition period.

      And then more money for the Norway option, but with no say in the rules.

      But you don't think impact assessments are a good idea, so this car crash will probably surprise you when it happens.
