The official time for it is 23:00:00 on 29/03/19, not midnight.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore -
It is interesting once Brexit takes place nothing will change as the transition phase will be identical to being a member but without any influence. So to summarise Brexiteers are happy with that. That's good, that's very good.
We are obviously making some progress as leave voters celebrate remaining within the EU structures.
It also looks like the UK will choose the more complicated route when the EU offers EEA, which would be simple or "Canada plus plus" which will be enormously complicated and will obviously take far longer than the two years put aside for the transition, so effectively blowing Brexit out of the water.
I'm alright JackComment

Whatever fudge is put together will be voted down by DUP and hard-Brexit Tory MPs.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostIt is interesting once Brexit takes place nothing will change as the transition phase will be identical to being a member but without any influence. Expecting Brexit to work is on the same level as expecting hammering nails in your head will cue a headache

The agreement from last week indicated that in the event of no deal the U.K. would continue in regulatory alignment, so the default now appears to be Remain...Originally posted by WTFH View Post...except, because of the DUP, there can't be a hard Brexit.Comment

I think you'll find the countdown goes up as the actual end date is equivalent to infinity.
It will be dragged out (via 'transition periods') in the hope the EU collapses first.
If the government were serious about getting the best deal they'd be working with other EU nations that are having trouble with right wing resurgence to force the EU to reform, which is at the heart of the real issues people have with the EU.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment

Or there will be a united Ireland.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostThere will be war in Ireland.
Which would solve the issue. Get rid of NI, that reduces the number of MPs to 632, which means the Torys have exactly 50% of the MPs.
Leave the people in NI to their own fate, but the New UK doesn't need to care about them.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
