This suggests that its strengths are rather more than a devalued currency.
And if a devalued currency is all it takes, we should be world champion exporters now

Credit where credit is due, Germany has been a power house for many years, and this absolutely pre-dates the Euro.

Everyone wants a devalued currency for global competitive advantage. Germany has found itself the benefactor in this game.

UKIP 11% of electorate in 2015 elections

When I see some of the Leave comments I begin to shudder. Fuelled by the tabloids, these people are becoming dangerous. What is being discussed in the SC are the foundations of British democracy.

      The Rise of Hitler

      Stage 1: World War I
Hitler had built up a status of "war hero" with an "Iron Cross" from his achievements in World War I. His rank was low, but his relative achievements were high. Thus, he reaped benefits from the war, unlike the higher level officers who got the blame for losing the war. Hitler got himself into a sweet spot and viewed favorably by the public.

      Stage 2: Beer Hall speeches
Following the War, Hitler went on speaking in beer halls. The drunk were his first audience. This is where he built his experience as a speaker. Put yourself in German shoes. You are hurt and ashamed by the first major defeat to your nation in over a century. You are hurt economically and psychologically. You are looking for answers.

There is this young lad, who did "heroic" things in the war and who has the answers. He talks of German pride and honor. He talks about whom to blame. And you are drunk. Would you believe in Hitler? Not unsurprisingly, Hitler got standing ovation.

So according to some Guardian reader, most pf the people that voted Leave would have cosied up to Hitler. Utter tosh and indicative of how desperate their agenda is becoming.

Haha, really. The proud to be British Al Murray types would have been chummies with Adolf? Thought that was more Neville "peace in our time" Chamberlain and his lefty cronies' bag?

Out of interest, had Hitler just won a referendum that the minority losers were desperately trying to prevent being implemented?

I pointed out the other day that trying to prevent democracy will cause extremism. Now if the Remnants would play by the rules.

The Advocate General has played the A9 of the BoR card.

With hindsight it certainly would have been better if the minority losers had managed to prevent Hitler taking charge.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

They managed to get peace in their time in 1938. What could possibly go wrong?

Had there just been a referendum, authorised by a parliament and of which the losers were trying to prevent the implementation of the result?

                  It's not a difficult question.

If you're going down that route of desperation...
Had Hitler's predecessors promised to close the borders, support the German health authority to the tune of £350 million a week and insist that Germany should only use German laws, then when they surprisingly won, all the pols who were pledging these promises and pledge to implement them turned tail and left, then started to say there would be no closed borders, no £350 million and no requirement to follow German law, then there would be a bigger similarity to Germany under the right wing fascists of the 1930s.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

I can see parallels with the campaign the official Leave ran.

Though those in government on the remain side set the seed.

                      In short politicians are scrum.
