Obviously it muddies the water that the "executive" (what used to be called a ministry) comprises pretty much entirely MPs. But wearing their ministerial hats they act on behalf of the Crown rather than Parliament.
God knows, I'm an ardent Brexiter, but I really can't see how anyone with even a vague understanding of the British constitution and thinking straight can justly claim the Supreme Court got it wrong this time, irritating though the court's conclusion may be.Work in the public sector? I find it hard to accept that Major and Brown can sign us up to the EU but TM can't sign us out.
I think A50 will be triggered by next summer.
I think the HOP can debate all they like, the only deal is the one the EU will give us, and that is no deal. I do think we will hard Brexit, with no transition. Cold turkey on 10% tariffs, and no arm bands. We will be fine, and the rest of the EU will be gobsmacked at our success.Comment

If Parliament didn't want a say they would have added to the referendum act a clause that would mean the government would not have to consult with them if the answer was "No" but they didn't.
Oh and if we take long enough the EU will implode."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
