I believe you...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hi...e_Roman_Empire“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
Sadly I get paid in sterling, working from home.Originally posted by GB9 View PostInteresting. Cable down 12% since the Brexit vote. Euro down 7% vs the Dollar in the same time frame. Does SAS know he is 7% poorer?
Am negotiating for Euro payment though (or changing contract); once Article 50 is invoked, I don't see much upside happening in the sterling exchange rate, do you?.Hard Brexit now!

Canada's biggest export to the UK is wood chip so we can burn them in our old coal power stations at huge expense to appease the CO2 mentalists.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View Postyou people are desperate for negative stories

Drop that bulltulip and suddenly we don't need Canada much anymore save for the odd bottle of maple syrup.Comment

so they can focus on US, the EU and China. Not only has the UK market shrunk by 20% since the Brexit vote, it is a prickly trading partner that tends to tear up trading treaties, with government ministers who enjoy insulting their counterparts, so why bother.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View Postyou people are desperate for negative stories

I think that sums up the disinterest of other countries to deals with the UK.
I'm alright JackComment

I know you have learning difficulties (that's the politically correct phrase for being thick as mince), so I'll just repeat that Canada's finance minister Bill Morneau told the Financial Times just last week that while Canada would be open to striking a trade deal with the UK, the prospect isn’t high on its immediate to-do list. In fact, it probably doesn't make the list at all.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View Postyou people are desperate for negative stories

In other words, the volume of trade with the UK doesn't justify any special effort.
Why did you think it would, we're less than 4% of the world economy and declining fast
Theresa's trip to India and China, she basically came back empty-handed, the Indians and Chinese just had a good laugh
Hard Brexit now!

How about I tattoo your butt with the word "Cretin" and you pay me 500 squid that you borrowed from a pay-day lender?
We can keep our economy going that way.Last edited by sasguru; 1 December 2016, 09:46.Hard Brexit now!

As for the Canadians they have cancelled Castro's funeral in order to attend to the urgent task of setting up a trade deal with the UK

"And lo! God spoke unto St Theresa. Smite those children of the illegal Philistines and leave no stone untouched! And lead the Brexites out of the European wilderness into the land of Poundland and Ladbrokes. And then smite the children of Poland."Originally posted by PurpleGorilla View PostLefties are going bat tulip over TMs Home Secretary proposals to put illegal immigrants kids at the bottom of the school places list.
