Interesting fact: The population of our tiny island is now around 1/2 the population of the entire world during the roman times.

"House prices remain strong despite remoaners predictions on Brexit"
This is a bit of a problem. Two of my friends voted Brexit because they were told that Brexit would lower house prices and make them affordable. Both live in central London and pay exorbitant rents. Stupidly they believed leave campaigners. Maybe they will change their vote second time around."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Canada says F* off UK.
“We’re not talking as much about Brexit as you are in the UK,”
While it’s true Canada values its ties to the United Kingdom, if the Government is hoping for a swift trade deal with its friends across the Atlantic, it shouldn’t hold its breath. The country’s finance minister Bill Morneau told the Financial Times just last week that while Canada would be open to striking a trade deal with the UK, the prospect isn’t high on its immediate to-do list. In fact, it probably doesn't make the list at all."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Canada just signed a trade deal with the EU, a huge trading bloc, they're not going to bother with a small and declining debt ridden island on the edge of it.Hard Brexit now!

That's not to say house prices aren't a problem. I'm seeing 2006 behaviour being repeated around me.Comment

Interesting. Cable down 12% since the Brexit vote. Euro down 7% vs the Dollar in the same time frame. Does SAS know he is 7% poorer?Comment
