          I actually know someone who invests in fine wine through the business. I believe it's all kept off site though, rather than being the contents of his wine cellar that mysteriously depletes each year via "wastage"

            There have been many "investors" in wine who have bought "futures" in wine which never actually materialised and have lost everything. A bit like buying gold but never taking delivery...
