Leave on good terms....say nothing and make sure you get the last invoice paid.
Then after about 3 months, when you're travelling the country to your next gig and you're passing a random postbox........post the dog turd in a jiffy bag.

If it's a man, threaten to knock their block off. If it's a bird, tell her to stick to the dishes.

      That's what you mean?

"Chat to the other staff about her" e.g is she always like this with staff/contractors?
I found out that a client that we support had their head of HR fired after the Director did an anonymous staff survey on how the staff find their working practices.
EVERYBODY said that she was a "bullying power mad bitch" and after reading that the Director fired her the next day!

The very first reply by Mudskipper hit this clean out of the park, yet we've struggled manfully on for four pages. Here's my bid to push us onto page 5.

            1. It's been an unpleasant chapter in OP's working life.

            2. The best outcome is for OP to draw a line under it.

            3. As for entering a legal tussle - if OP wants the certainty of spending more money on the off-chance they'll in time make a few bob then they should fill their boots. Otherwise see 2.

Given the OP posted as Stella8, either shes likely to be female or lager has learned to type, I'd go with the former.

Could mean they joined after 8 pints.

Agree with what most have said. You can't do anything about it. Clients will make up any old crap to suit themselves.
Some just say tough we're out of cash, some will try to justify it in their own heads that you're no good.

I've worked with a fair few tossers in my time both permies and contractors. It does do your chunk a bit.

Would agree with others though. You can moan about a permie to their HR - all that'll happen is that you the contractor gets the bullet. Got to remember that some of these permies have made a career at these places, know how it works, know people etc.

If a permie wants to have a go I let them crack on and ignore them. Sometimes I just know the gig isnt going to last when this happens though. You can just tell a place is going to be like that and its downhill from there. Luckily, only had one or two places like that.

Are we going to have a sweepstake to see if AproAccounting will get a ban or just a mod comment instead of their link that breaks advertising rules on the forum?
