Maybe learn to only spend money you actually have, until you're getting timesheets signed and invoices paid then your contract is nothing more than vapourware.

i'll now be more careful and vigilant going forward obviously but it is usually seen as common place to celebrate a new role? Probably just me then...

I let the agency know they could assure the client i'd stick around as i had done with my prior contracts (all over minimum of 1.5 years each)

In February, you said that you were coming back from taking three months off, so you've been in the current role for three months, and were going to hand in your notice to take this one.

Plus there are so many sockpuppets and sales trolls that people notice the patterns and the inconsistencies.
