Go with InTouch - tell Clare I sent you her way for and I'll get some freebies (still waiting on that iPad...)
The current freebie seems to be a pony....

Which could mean a horse, a lasagne or £25. Depending on your definition.

        <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< You rang

Back on topic, as others have said, I would sound out suitable accountants first as they can likely do all the setup (including company) with minimal fuss - another recommendation for InTouch

I can also comment on Harvey Nash, as they are agents for my current gig. Seem pretty decent, always pay on time and - on the few occasions needed - are quick to respond to comms.

Some accountants will offer almost anything in exchange for your business…

If you get offered a hot lunch, decline!

                  Great info here!!

Thanks very much for all you responses.

                  This is where I am:

                  (1) Limited company -
I have come across this page:
                  Information & Guidance - Starting a company
--> (1. Companies House Web Incorporation Service)

Will the formation agents do something better that this or will it be simpler to go through them?

                  (2) Bank account - I will also go with Carter Allen most probably, but I looked up on MoneySupermarket and the Natwest & Lloyds accounts claim provide 24 months & 18 months free Business Banking. Is there a catch there?
Business Bank Accounts - Compare Business Banking Deals
Just to know what benefit will Carter Allen provide over the others?

                  (3) Contract review - I will call QDOS now and will report back how it went

                  (4) Accountants - I will also call and speak to some of the accountants

I have been reading the contract template sent to me by the agency, I want to post a few questions on some content in that document which I do not understand, am I allowed to copy and paste? I will ofcourse remove any personal information (there is none anyway as this is just a template)

Try using the search as detailed in the thread below. It's highly likely it's been asked before but if it hasn't or you are still confused then you could try posting them. QDOS are the specialists so would probably better asking them though.

Also read up on IR35 and try and understand the basics which will help you understand your own contracts.

You can go direct to Companies House for the formation, and there is a small fee from them to do so.

Or, use an accountant who would do the same thing for free (depending on who you chose), and also handle the VAT set up for you.
