You don't need one, as long you aren't working more than 16 hours a week for your "employer", i.e. YourCoOriginally posted by psychocandy View PostSo you didnt get a P45 for yourself? My accountant told me I had to do a P45....Blog? What blog...?

Hmmm. I agree that the system cant really cope but this sounds a bit dodgy to me.Originally posted by Podgy View PostFor JSA you just put where your last job was (client) and name the agency as employer - they treat it the same as if you were a temp - just put 'job via agency as contractor' as a note.
Their systems will explode with anything more complicated.
It will take them months to process the above - by the time you get a (incorrect) payment you'll either have a new contract or will be homeless or dead from starvation - so you wont even be entitled and will probably be investigated for fraud.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

No, I didn't need one. I just had to show the company wasn't paying me and that I wasn't working. JSA knew the detail of my position.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostSo you didnt get a P45 for yourself? My accountant told me I had to do a P45....

You used to be able to just fill in a P46 but that isn't to be used after April 2013. Just get the P45, will probably be much easier knowing the god awful system that JSA is.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostInteresting. Working a 2 day week? Kind of unlikely for most of us but we can dream.Originally posted by malvolio View PostYou don't need one, as long you aren't working more than 16 hours a week for your "employer", i.e. YourCo

Did mine yesterday. It was okay; the lady was quite friendly and helpful. She kept saying "they may ask you for more information", and "they will make a decision". Not quite sure who the mysterious "they" are; some shady people in some government back room presumably, but obviously it doesn't occur to anybody that the system could be a whole lot less inefficient if the person doing the interview could make a decision whilst you were there and could answer any questions.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostYep. She asked for a P45, and bank statements, which I hadn't been told in advance I was required to take.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

She's not trained to do that.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostDid mine yesterday. It was okay; the lady was quite friendly and helpful. She has to be sent on a special course to use a computer that does the decision making plus they may have just dragged her of the street . (The former border agency use to do that with some of their staff.)"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
