Sounds lie a right load of hassle

Sounds lie a right load of hassle, i just read and followed the steps here and in 4 months there was 3k in my bank account. All I did was print the templates and send the letters off with the amended sections. Certainly not worth the paying anyone else to do it.

Reclaim PPI for Free: £1,000s for mis-sold insurance...

We didn't want to give an incorrect answer and invalidate our own claim through not being able to remember or understand. If they want to bend the truth or manipulate the claim for a win (which is obviously in their interests) it is up to them. I fill in the paperwork truthfully and leave them to it.
Not sure they can lie or manipulate truth and I am fairly sure they do pretty much diddly for their fee

Am sure they shouldn't but they aren't allowed to ring me up out of the blue with an automated message or spam me but they do. They can do what they want as long as I have my house in order and get my cash... but in this case I haven't so want to extract a bit of consumer revenge... but alas so far it is looking like all I can do is wake up tomorrow and forget about them now I am going direct.

Consumer revenge is tricky - I find seeing how close I can get to the man at the top is quite therapeutic - I usually find the line " are you paid enough for me to take this out on you or would you like to put me onto your boss" gets me a fair way

What does your contract with the claim company say?

It doesn't really mention anything about what to do when they demonstrate utter incompetence..

Oh hang on, I see what you did there... You cheeky monkey.

Are you sure you're cut out to make an insurance claim ;-)

There is of course far call you can do about it. Though I can pass on freddy the torches' phone number if you want.

Engaged PPI company to sort through a ton of paperwork as there is something in there. CBA to sort it so let them do what they say.
Engage them, sign the letters of authority etc. Fine and dandy.
Forget all about it for about 6 months until we find paperwork so start leaning on PPI company.
After that it is just a sorry tale of pure incompetence from the PPI company who either haven't done anything out it or chased it. They ask us for 2 forms of ID which is the last straw. 10 months down the line now.
Phone the bank that gave us the loan and they advise us that the proper process for authority was never completed 8 months ago so nothing has been done... At this point I am ****ing livid. Bank bloke was really nice and said sod them, do it yourself. Starts the ball rolling on the PPI claim. 2 minutes of work the PPI people didn't do in a year....

So.... Time to nail the PPI company to the wall... but how best to do it.

Is there anything a consumer can do about a company that has failed in it's duty after spending a considerable amount of time chasing them on the phone or by letter? Obviously we will sack them so they won't get a penny but does that mean I have no rights to charge them for anything. I haven't lost anything but time so don't think I can claim money back from them?

I am in the mood to spend sometime having a go at them just out of interest to see what happens but obviously won't bother if I don't have any rights.

Maybe tomorrow I will have moved on but just interested to know.
Why stress yourself having a go at or getting revenge?

Let it go, breathe easily and calmly. Get the money and chilax. It really isnt worth getting stressed about.

You could report the company to the FSA Ombudsman but that's about as far as it goes imo.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Well no hence using someone to do it for us but I fail at that as well it appears
