Why do you assume he is speaking to his business manager when a) he is after a personal loan for a car and b) he says 'bank manager'? Who speaks to bank managers about personal loans nowadays? And the 3 months thing? What has the length of his contract got to do with his credit worthiness and ability to pay. If you get given that excuse you naturally just go try another bank.

Either the OP is just making this up or there is a long sorry history to this we are not being told.

Go on to one of the money comparison sites, apply based on being an employee, job title = "company director". You should sail through.

trying to borrow from my bank so i can buy a better car but bank managers says loan term cnt be longer than 6 month due to me being on 6 month contract..

                :/

any advise? is thats how it works ?
                What?

So how come I have been given a mortgage of 400k for 21 years?

Some people are so small minded. Unless you are buying a 200k Ferrari or something similar.

Definitely go in with the I'm a director and earn 10k a month or whatever, also show him your EOY accounts.

                Anything to persuade him.

What car are you after and how much do you want to borrow?

If still not successful, try another bank.

Dunno, would you lend money to to someone with only 6 months self employed and no history if they would be any good at it?
