SJD Advice on RTI Changes to payroll

Has anyone else received the RTI email from SJD.

With the changes they are proposing that you take all of your salary once per year with the first payment being in March 2014.

The mail also implies that if you take salary monthly there will be extra charges due to increased admin.

    Any thoughts on this?

I've not had any, but my accountant is on holiday right now.

I'm not an SJD client, but I wouldn't be bothered about a years salary in advance.

However, I seem to remember other posts on here somewhere (CBA to search) suggesting that it may be seen as a director's loan with possible interest chargeable.

Pardon me if i'm spouting 5hite but not sure, i've never done a D/L before.

Seems a weird thing to do to me. Almost like they just want to minimise the work they have to do, which surely could be mostly automated?

I'd have to double-check but I'm fairly sure my accountant said they'd basically just handle all this nonsense without me having to do anything much.

@kingcook, surely that's a year in arrears not advance?

A year in arrears makes some sense admin wise, although personally I prefer to keep the salary monthly - I don't think our clients in general would be happy with annual salary. We will be doing it all for our clients, but even with automation it will need a extra bod.

Let's see what they have to say before we start guessing.

                    Not sure to be honest.

I definately wouldn't do my own salary in arrears. If my accountant suggested this, they'd be told where to go!
