This is now getting interesting. Its like a rerun of familes need fathers. To be fair to them, they had to exist before fathers4justice could exist.

...none of my friends think I'm a tax cheat and should burn in hell either, just for the record. They all think that HMRC make the laws and should either stick to them or change them if they don't work. Not act retrospectively

A 1 minute guide to using Twitter (even my granny could do it):
        • It takes 30 seconds open an account. Go to twitter.com and sign up with an email address.
        • Choose a catchy name
        • Add a photo and select some colours or design if you want.
        • Follow people you are interested in, such as politicians, journalists, civil liberty campaigners, media, etc.
        • Compose messages of less than 140 characters and hit send
        • Use the @ symbol when communicating with others, e.g. @DavidGauke @BeenGauked @DotasScandal @yourMPsname
        • Use the search facility to find people you want to tweet to.
        • Use hashtags to give your message one or more identifiable references that others can cotton onto, eg. #FinanceBill2014 #tax #MagnaCarta #retro
        • Find hashtags that people/media/politicians are using and use them too, e.g. #MagnaCarta is one we recently hijacked
        • Retweet messages you agree with. Also reply to messages you want to talk about.
        • Look for issues that politicians are tweeting about that may be relevant and reply to them with a message about our plight. Try and engage them in conversation.
        • Try and build your own follower base simply by engaging in tweeting with others and following others.
        • For the adventurous, try creating your own "memes" and tweeting them. They are photos with humourous captions. Use this Meme generator https://imgflip.com/memegenerator

Twitter is an amazing concept. It takes free speech back from the "dead tree" press.

          Excellent summary, SC!
          I'll add:

          - be sure to use the @ tag to target specific people you want the attention of.
Merely retweeting is good but ultimately pointless if you have no follower base.

For example, you can speak directly to practically everyone
          on the finance bill committee...

Thier Twitter handles can be looked up with this tool:

          http://tweetminster.co.uk/mps

          - I like to parasite / hijack politicians' (generally mundane) conversations. It gives exposure to their own followers and there's not much they can do to shut you up...

Good stuff. 65,000 people affected and there are now at least 20 people tweeting! At this rate it will be bought to the pubic's attention by June 2076 assuming 20 people per week wake up.

Well done. The idea is that every one of these guys should, like it or not, have us lot in mind come tomorrow

                      Twitter

I also got started with Twitter specifically for this and less than a week ago.

It helps to level the playing field - it really does - but whether or not it's sufficient at this stage only time will tell.

A lot of our tweets at the moment however are a bit circular - we need to get out more!

Surprised already by how effective some tweets have been in getting people to reply and engage.

Does our august judge tweet, does anyone know?

Don't leave it for others - get stuck in!
