      Hi dvrjw,

Check your spam email. If still nothing is there, then send us a message via the contact form with your email address and user name (if known).

So... so... <sigh> I'm lost for words. Anyone think that any of these '2,000 public-sector workers' are investigating us?
These people are providing their consultancy services through contracts exactly as we would have been. It makes no difference who is in the contract chain, they are not employees of the civil service and the government has no right to turn around and start saying they should be. Neither should you lot !
What this comes down to is the government saying "we dont like what your doing, we want you to do it the way we say" Sound familiar ?
The whole story stinks of government propagoganda about tax avoidance. They are desperate to rob us of every penny they can

          TK,

I don't think anyone on this forum would say they shouldn't be doing it, I think it was shared to hi-light the Hypocrosy of this, and indeed any Government.

As everyone knows they would like the control of taxing @ source for all. (That is apart from the Mega-Rich,Upper Classes and MP's)

Now Newsnight has discovered that Mr Alexander is recommending that anyone paid more than about £58,000 should not be able to use this loophole to avoid paying tax.

Departmental "board members and senior officials" should be compelled to become staff, he argues, as should anyone engaged for more than six months on more than £220 a day.

This is interesting and may give an indication as to HMR&C's future planning for 'PSC's'

Yes it probably will give an indication. But almost certainly the implementation will be bad and it will end up annoying hard working contractors. Computing is supposed to represent the future but the government treats us like dirt. Then more people will go for scheme's like Montpeliers. The government almost forced us into their hands. THey should have just kept the rules short and sweet.

Yes I notice that just being a contractor is now presented as exploiting a loophole. Like I said, propoganda. Makes me sick of being British
