Interesting article about Hodge in the Daily Telegraph...

Margaret Hodge's family company pays just 0.01pc tax on £2.1bn of business generated in the UK - Telegraph

Falling on one's own sword springs to mind.

On a slightly different angle, but showing the same old hypocrisy and arrogance, from yesterday's Observer, how morally repugnant is this? Then again, maybe it's a fitting attitude to run the country with and make big speeches on fairness and how we're all in it together.

The Oxford Student newspaper reported that a member of the Bullingdon Club was fined for setting off a firework at a nightclub earlier this month. According to the paper, the student was accepted into the club after an initiation ceremony which included burning a £50 note in front of a tramp.

LOL...repugnant indeed. They all are pigs with their snouts in the trough!!!

The Tories have lost the next election for sure...the most unconservative, mean and disgusting lot in many years. The party of business and low taxation it certainly is not, and add to that their ripping up the rule book and applying retrospective acts concerning taxation is nothing more than nasty and dirty!

Certainly feels like we now have the choice of voting for Labour 1 (Labour) or Labour 2 (Cons).

I'll break radio silence to confirm that I'm still alive here in the far north of the country. So at least there's still two of us!

Meantime awaiting guidance as to what to send to my MP next (presumably before the budget in March).

              Resuming radio silence.

Now that's what I call service! An excellent synopsis of the case and a well structured compelling argument.
Thank you to all at NTRT. I'm on the case.
