I have standing order payments set to every 4 months now, although to be honest i don't get any interest so its probably not worth having the second account anyway
WTF, next they will be saying it's theirs after 2 years!!!

and I dont expect transactions to disappear without trace. If a payment gets returned then it should have a reversal entry. In this case, its disappeared.

Luckily, agency have sent me credit details from feb proving it was done. Strangely enough, I got two identical payments from agency today listed but they swear blind they only sent one.

It smells of someone in the bank realising their mistake and trying to fiddle it.

Been on the phone to Cater Allen now giving them grief. Surely there's something wrong with their system if statement entries are disappearing?

Any of you lot doing the coding at Cater Allen? ;-)

Anyway, promised to phone me back today. I think duplicate credit for today is a separate problem - I've had that before as well.

          Update

No promised call back last night. Phoned them about 5-20pm and the manager dealing with it had gone home.

Checked account this morning and missing entry has re-materialised. Still no phone call / explanation.

          Very poor service.

They did eventually phone me. Excuse = admin error.

Basically some donut deleted the entry then. Not being funny but surely this sort of thing shouldnt even be possible. Audit trail and all that.

Considering a written complaint about this because its taken about 5 phone calls, emails to agency getting payment receipts etc. My time is valuable (cough cough clientco's time!).

But in all seriousness, spent so long fannying about with this during the daytime yesterday that I had to stay in office longer to finish up what I planned to do...

Glad you got it sorted. It does make me laugh how all these people come out of the wood work to say how good they are, when all they are is a department of Santander known as the worst bank in the world.

If it's as you say, a written complaint is reasonable. You don't even need to have a go at them, they should WANT to know about this kind of error.

If it was only missing from your online banking a few days, that's one thing. But if they can't find it on the 'master' records, that's very worrying.

Cater Allen cant take payments directly

I'm an iPhone dev and get paid by Apple from US. Cater Allen said I couldnt pay them directly had to tell Apple to put the money into Cater Allens account in RBS or HSBC and add my account number as a reference.
