Need payment proof from agencies I worked for...what document?

Sorry maybe a silly question, but I need a document from all the agencies I have done work for, summarising the payments they have made. There are maybe 8-9 agencies.

Legally, what type of document can I ask for? I am not registered for VAT

Would be useful to let us know why these are needed, who has advised that you need them, & what they'll be used for?

I would have thought, in the absence of any rationale, that remittance advices from respective agencies (when you received payment), or a summary of these, could be produced by yourself for whoever/whatever.

I would imagine that you might find the above remittance documents in your financial records file...

Normally you invoice, they pay. They may send a remittance slip.

If this is a legit question. Then in theory you would have to contact each agency in turn for a list of payments they made.

Sounds like you've been a bit slap dash with your accounting.

Alternatively, the money you have paid into your bank account should suffice. You could in turn then 'recreate' all of the invoices you 'sent' & Bobs your uncle, Fannies your aunt it all 'magically' matches for that terrible 'Hector' audit.

Legally I don't think they have to give you anything if they've provided remittance slips along the way that you've not kept. If you phone them and ask nicely they should be able to provide a statement of account though that lists all invoices and all payments against your company name.

I think that Clare is absolutely right - I don't think there is any legal requirement in this case. Saying that, companies that have to be audited will often have to request a statement showing invoices and payments for a given period of time so that is unlikely to be seen as an unreasonable request.

If the OP is looking for payment information that is more than 7 year old ie 8 or 9 agencies could well be going back 10 years, then, I think he's going to find it pretty difficult.

Agencies may be willing to go back a couple of years but beyond that and the 7 year limit, I'd say snowball's chance!

thats it a remittance slip I think..can you back order these? Need it as proof for a loan application, to support then bank statements..dont know why
