**** me I would just move on is it really worth the hassle, you current client must love the fact that you mind is on this and not them.

My contract has just been extended - I'm being told feedback on how they are v.happy & permies are being referred to me for my methods/templates - its a higher daily rate than this one was - a great place to work the people are really nice - its the old school 'living in a village' environment - I'm v. happy & so are they - this case is just a small botheration that needs to be put to bed

..maybe I misunderstood.. this is a contractors forum right? as I just thougt (silly me!) that other contractors might be interested? or have gone thru same thing & I was looking to find a precedent or any form of help (I think the title says it all)..

If I misunderstood, it may be, apparently, according to one poster because I am one of 'lifes special children'

It is your duty as a director to do the best thing for your company and it's shareholders. Spending a lot of time and money chasing principles is not always the best for the company.

This is your personal issue, don't try and make out it is your duty.

I m serious I honestly dont know what your on about? I work in IT but on the business side - I dont really engage that much on the social side - I dont even have a smartphone! I keep work/life separate - I do prefer to actually see/talk on a social level! I dont want to be one of those people that are consumed by their phone rather than their surroundings - so I really dont know this terminolgy?

On a whole different issue, if you lost income due to this mis-truth then would you be legitimately able to sue for libel/slander, etc? Anyone know?

when I spoke to a lawyer in london initially (who gave me everything to take this case forward)

once I told him I did not even work there for the project they are blaming me for - he said same I could & have a very good case, however he said defamation/libel are very long cases & take a lot of money - you need at least 100K to support & its lengthy - he did not advise it - for my small business - even though he said it occurred.

KC, I think you're getting insults because to many this seems absurd you could get money for being dropped from a contract, and others think you are just making it up for some weird reason (it's happened before).

If you already went to court, is there a way you can prove it... not posting publicly but allowing a moderator or administrator here to see the facts and check them out, and report back? I assume admin is following this thread...
