      Steady ahead.............

        Letter to DC

Yep - letter fired off last week to Treasury Committee and to Cameron himself as he's my MP. Followed up with email. Asked for a meeting but as you can imagine it may be some time......

          Another Lurker and Letter

Another very long time lurker. Letter and email gone to Phillip Hollobone (Con), who's only claim to fame is he submitted the lowest MP expenses last year.

However I do have a question from a friend who has 3 years exposure from 2005-08.

Although he has received lots of nice brown envelope newsletters, he has NEVER received a CN?

I assume NW at MP give him a liability figure? Can HRMC issue a demand for payment without a CN?

Thanks for ALL of your continuing efforts, it is VERY much appreciated.

Does else have DC as their MP? Would anyone consider allowing us to stage a demo during the time of their meeting? Anyone up for doing a demo? Is a demo even a good idea - might it be counterproductive?

Contact NW and TQ to get an exposure figure. HMRC need to issue a CN first. Pass it onto montp(along with all other HMRC correspondence) and they will appeal. HMRC will then take it to tribunal. etcetc.

So the short answer is no.

Hey, SF. Good luck with that. Hollobone is my MP too and the to**ser hasn't replied to any of my emails or letters....
..perhaps he keeps his expenses low by never doing any work.

Letter to the Treasury Committee - got same reply yesterday - and also to David Gauke.

One little clause this afternoon is ALL we need!

They snuck one in in 2008 they could so easily slip another one in today!

Especially is Gauke had the balls to backup his 2008 stance.

Unfortunately they are all paid to "lie for a living"

                      Another Closure Notice withdrawn

Just heard from another person who has had a Closure Notice withdrawn because HMRC hadn't issued a prior enquiry notice.

He had to chase them endlessly to get a result. If he hadn't persevered he could have ended up paying £xxxxx that HMRC weren't lawfully entitled to.

                      Perseverence is the key.
