You guys also might to know I had meeting with KPMG last week

I have 7 years exposure (with Montpelier) but was interested if they might support / bolster my journey through the tax tribunals if necessary (to give me time to pay etc)

They said they would and also said they had advised their clients to pay up as the scheme clearly doesn't work (their words)

It did work until March 2008, otherwise HMRC would have had cases before the Tax Courts in the blink of an eye!!!

Just highlighting our predicament - this was a company who marketed the scheme (don't know how actively)

Of course I ranted a little in response but they were like monkeys looking at a watch using words like 'agressive scheme' and 'not as parliament intended'

And I'm glad I didn't go through KPMG for the scheme. I'd be livid with them right now if that was the case. Then again maybe the type of clients they had can afford to pay.

            Excellent graphic
For some reason I immediately imagined various Hectors looking at TN63 with the same expressions.

Why the hell are they bothering to go to the European Court of Human Rights if this is the case?

Good of them to offer to take money off you to go through the tax tribunal though.

Maybe just the opinions of the folks I met with & not KPMG as a whole - hope so.........

The problem with this forum is there's too much hearsay without any evidence to back it up.

Rumours become "truth" which feeds negativity and derails the whole letter writing effort.

Not accusing anyone of this, but it would be very easy for HMRC to plant a stooge on this forum to get what they wanted.
