Clearly nothing should be posted regarding any current action but, in terms of service quality, why not?Older and ...well, just older!! -

I think its time to carry out some damage limitation. Basically find a new accountant and move on. <mod snip>
Has anyone come across a small/medium sized accountants that specialises in IT contractors, who are willing to do last years accts/tax return for no additional fee, on a monthly fee basis similar to Upton? There is an opportunity for an accountancy to get extra business taking on Uptons clients, on the basis they do last years accts/tax return.
Thx in advance for any replies/recommends.Last edited by backagain; 12 July 2011, 08:48.Comment

From the http://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...-accounts.html thread is appears some might be waiting for Upton to complete their year end accounts. If this is the case I highly recommend they either chase daily or move on immediately. I’m not sure if Upton has any senior accountants left? I’ve communicated with 3 senior accountants other than Darren in the years I was with Upton and 2 left years ago and the other is on maternity leave. The other accountant I spoke with was a junior. Darren Upton currently does not work at Upton & Co in any capacity so if he’s was doing your accounts then you might be in a bit of a pickle. Upton are looking to appoint a new senior accountant in his place but this has yet to occur to my knowledge.

Another email scam warning from HMRC
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment
