How soon after year end do you expect to receive your accounts?

I'm actually quite interested in other peoples experiences. I unfortunately use an infamous West Yorkshire accounting firm

and my Y/E was mid Apr. I was told the turn around time was 8-10 weeks (which has obviously now passed) so am keen to find out how long other accountants take, in case I need to get another company to produce the Y/E accounts.

My year end is November, the same firm as CA's I assume have had my figures since January and I am still waiting. Will be ringing them tomorrow.

Ok.

My accountant will do my year end within 6 months.

However talking to other people it's not uncommon for an accountant to do it at the last possible minute even though they have given the books and other information as soon as the year ended. This is one major reason why they have changed accountant.

They have learnt the hard way to get it agreed in the terms of service when the company accounts will be done.

I do my accounts when I give them to the accountant. I expect them done in 2-3 weeks as all they have to do is use the sage file I supply. I don't get this "when does my accountant give me my info". They work for you not the other way around. Another reason I would never use an online contractor specialist accountant.

My current YE was 31 March. I submitted them a little early this year on 16 June.

I wanted to see if my accountant was comparatively slow or fast compared to other people experiences!!!!!

My year end is 31st May, and they had all end of year paperwork by early to mid June, so the clock is ticking.

I would like it asap as I am probably going to move accountants once they have been completed.
