"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero -
For best value perhaps go to somebody small and local. A one man band who you can meet face to face. A neighbour of mine went this route and was pleased with the service.Comment

NLUK is not keen on freedom of speech in CUK. I recall my first ever post here in 2006. One of the first replies came from NLUK, giving me an absolute rocket for daring to ask a question on the forum. He gives the same performance at regular intervals, grab some popcorn and watch him go. Yes really!!!!Comment

Most accountants in practice started out as one man bands and later might form a partnership. Messrs Peat, Marwick, Kerr and Pannell to name a few. If they're an ACA there's an excellent chance they'll know what they're doing. That is a qualification they don't just hand out to all and sundry.
Meantime remind me of your business model? Do you have a heavily-staffed consultancy....or are you in fact a one man band?I'm a smug bastard.Comment
