Do employers NIC stop at retirement age?

Quick question for all you knowledgable types...

I know employees NICs stop at State pension age, but what about employers?

If they stop then is there much point using dividends over salary?

    Thanks!

Employers are still liable for ER's NIC.

No. There is no retirement age any more.

Looking at it another way, if you are already drawing pension(s) and using up your tax free band and some basic rate tax band, you should just pay yourself dividends anyway. No point in paying any salary.

Oi! I am still quite sprightly, thank you.

I was asking on behalf of a friend. Thanks for your answers.
