All my Horizon / Arnica documentation went missing during a house move. In view of this , and that fact that Mark Duncan et al cant be traced,my accountant thinks I have litttle grounds for appeal unless I can come up with documentary evidence of the scheme, details of the loan arrangements etc.
Looking grim for me at the moment. May have to bite the bullet on this one unless things change.
Obviously I regret getting inolved in the first place. But assurances were given about the legitimacy of the schemes. My fault I guess for not doing due dilligence.Comment

No that's not correct mate if you find out the scheme number or identifier than your accountant or someone with EBT experience will be able to make an appeal. The notice we received i sthe HMRC protecting their position just in case the scheme receives a judgement against it.
I would say look for an accountant who has EBT experiencemy account informs me that he maybe able to get the scheme number from the HMRC but it would be better if U get it myself... it should be an tax return but unfortunately like you I can't find much paper work.
This is the reason why I asked for Horizon EBT scheme number from someon eon the forum.....Last edited by Skyblue; 9 February 2013, 17:24.Comment

Hi,
I also got one of these notices. Horizon support is still around ... call 0870 778 0063 as they are dealing with these claims through their lawyer.

Afternoon all. I've also just received a "discovery provisions of Section 29 Taxes Management Act 1970" for 2008/2009 and wondered what people with Norla/Edge during this period are doing.Comment
