For personal reasons, I was not working between 2005 - 07.
Prior to that I was a full time employee and upon returning to work, I have 'become' a contractor with a Limited Company which means I have been submitting a Personal Tax Assessment since then.
Last night, I was going through some old paperwork and happened across a letter HMRC sent me in January 2009 requesting further information for the years I was not working.
As I had mis-filed this letter, I obviously had not completed and submitted this back to HMRC and they have not chased me for it either.
I have submitted regular Personal Tax Assessments each year without issue so am wondering if it is now worthwhile for me to complete and submit this HMRC Request for information form - is anyone on the board familiar with this type of form and can offer advice?
