      Looks good.

At one stage, a couple of us started putting together a website but it ran out of steam a bit.

So added it as a 'real page' though I think it goes through some sort of review process so see how it goes.

Just had a quick read and where you say

It retrospectively amended an Act of Parliament from 1987 (Padmore)

This is not strictly true. Padmore was not an Act, it was a court case

Padmore v IRC [1987] STC 36 affirmed by the Court of Appeal [1989] STC 493

S58 of the Finance Act 2009 actually amended 3 different Acts.

The Income and Corporation Tax Act 1988
The Taxation of Chargable Gains Act 1992
The Income Tax ( Trading and Other Income) Act 2005.

You can add an external reference to the finance act with this link.

Its Friday so it must be CN time!

Just checked my on-line account and it's showing a nice big figure due immediately for 06 and 07 even though I ceased being in the scheme in March 06. So that will be a nice brown envelope waiting for me at home to start the weekend off!

I'll get it all sent off to MP but the figures calculated look rather high, do MP verify the figures as correct first before appealing?

                      Sent!

Mr. Timms. You have stated that the planned NI rise will cost jobs and Mr. Darling says it won't. You cannot both be right. Given both of your proximity to the Nations purse, can you give a definitive answer without politicial diatribe as "I'm right" or "The Chancellor is right"? Please restrict your answer to these so the public don't need your position 'clarifying' later.
