    re Gauke

just wondered if anyone had contacted the press around Gauke.. or that matter if anyone thinks its newsworthy or worthwhile to do so ... a smallish story at the moment .. in terms of people involved but moreover a story which does perhaps define how MP's operate.. say one thing at one time.. and then do something different....

ignore the legality which is baffling to most..theres a number of issues over honesty which need addressing too

understood there's probably a due course to be run now one way or another but would this be of use?

    cheers

Sorry DR, gotta disagree with you on this one!!

This could all be over very soon – all we need is for Gauke to grow a pair and stand by what he said whilst in opposition!!

Oh hang on, that’s never gonna happen, the spineless little git obviously wanted to win votes and doesn’t give a toss now he’s been elected!

I would certainly hope so, since our MPs have been consistently saying "we can't do anything about this while it's going through the courts".

        You got that right.

Also remember there is a separate process HMRC would need to go through, to discharge the appeals of our Closure Notices, before they could issue demands, so we would get plenty of warning of their intentions.

I have no doubt that HMRC will try to enforce collection when they win the current appeal in November.

Can we get a statement from Montp to confirm if they will 'legally' be able to do this?

Is there decision to not enforce collection yet out of the goodness of their hearts?

            "goodness of their hearts"

I will see if I can find out more details.

This was a letter sent to Gauke, Zac Goldsmith and my local MP dated 7 July. I am still waiting for a reply.

              Good luck with yours.
Cheers. I take it you asked your mP to forward the letter to gauke and asked your MP to ask him why he has changed his tune?

My letter was very similar. I copied gauke's comments to my MP and asked him to ask gauke. We'll see if I get any response. Fingers crossed!
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Did the same thing a couple of days ago. The way this is going he'll be preparing another standard reply. Still, worth stirring things up.

The chances of us winning the appeal at the JR are very similar to hell freezing over.

Should we lose in the COA I think the next step would be the Supreme Court, surely HMRC will wait until the outcome of that, so that should give us at least a year.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we will win in the COA and with a bit of support from this government it will finish there.
