    is PCG worth it

    Hello all,

one up for debate, but I am contemplating joining PCG for some of the benefits. The one I am really interested in is the IR35 contract check thingy but the site can be quite vague.

Is anyone a member, or become a member recently??
Has anyone used the contract checking option???

    Yes and yes.

          Yes and No.

but it's a no-brainer when you look at the benefits compared with the costs.

The PCG is the most wonderful group of nice people that ever drew breath.

They are doing a wonderful job, and you should all be grateful and send us as much money as possible.

IT doesn't check your contracts - you have to go to Bauer and Cottrell for that kind of thing. It does give you access to draft contracts that have been checked by the likes of B&C.

                Seconded.

It comes under the heading of JFDI IMHO.

correct me if i'm wrong then, if you are given a contract that you need checking it is not a service provided by or via PCG. You need to go to a 3rd party who will of course charge for their service.
sorry if this sounds a bit obvious but i can't get a definitive answer on the pcg website
