Those of you who have seen the document I submitted to the JCHR, will appreciate why I'm pulling no punches.

"I am satisfied that in these unusual circumstances, retrospective clarification of the law is fair, proportionate and in the public interest. That is the human rights test that we must apply."

"I am happy and content, given the advice that I have received, that the decision I am asking the Committee to make today is right."

"I believe that we can pass the clause with a clear conscience."

Shame that she is not one of the MPs we've written to. She probably
isn't even aware of the grief her mad legislation is causing.

I cant actually believe HMRC wouldnt even let you pay money on account? Does that imply the interest is frozen??

Now that she has quit, could we contact her for comment? Maybe she can shed some light on what went on.

So I called them to say "show me the money" and was told that my account has been suspended due to an investigation AND that I'm unable to withdraw funds NOR am I able to pay money in, i.e. paying on account.

          Tut !
Lunacy! If this drags on for years - which is quite likely - how is anyone supposed to make their annual SA payments?

Good to see Hector applying common sense to the situation again!!

She would probably refer everything to Timms ie. not her problem anymore.

Unfortunately, I have not heard from anyone in her constituency:

            Liverpool, Wavertree

If anyone knows someone who lives in this neck of the woods who might be prepared to send her a letter, email me.

Clearly they don't have a common process.
After my appeal went through, I had a surplus on account, which I managed to extract and have now purchased a CTD to cover the interest.
Saying that, there was much confusion as they didn't know what a CTD was, when I tried to direct the money direct into that!!!

I assume you can send them a cheque, from what I have read none of their IT systems are linked….

that'll be due to all that good work the major consultancies have managed to not deliver, who just also happened to be the ones bending HMRC and the governments ear to try and wipe us off the face of the earth...I wonder if you will ever manage to work out who are the good guys?!
