Anyway, the records are all complete and full upto when i became self employed and went on MontP scheme. Then there is one line stating i paid a grand to open the IOM trust, and no further info for anything after that !!

So seems they have decided to filter all of that out from the start, then probably make it up once they hear the result of the JR. Well, thats what the cynics may think..
Can I clarify (its that word again) did you make FOI or DPA request? Under a Data Protection Act request provided you identify yourself appropriately they have to provide a copy of everything on your file.

Under FOI I suspect that they may not have provided it because it has a specific persons name on, albeit yours, and to comply with it would ironically breach the Data Protection Act!!

If you sent FOI before send a DPA request now.

Got mine today too. Just a big printout of my former employer details and my addresses.

The whole thing looks to just be a report printed off from one of their IT systems. I was expecting copies of letters they have sent etc....Can we request these?

No mention of enquiry or any amounts pending appeal. According to this I owe 8.50 - excellent.

Although, the government gateway says they owe be 10k..But when I asked them to pay me it they told me to naff off until the appeal is done with.

        GBHuhd and Helen7,

I would contact the department that sent you the DPA request and tell them they havent sent you everything.

Could also try winding them up by saying you will submit further DPA requests until you get all the information they have on you

I'll be interested to hear what happens, so I can update the DPA thread.

Will do. Can I ask them for a copy of all correspondance they have sent me in the past and, any internal hmrc emails discussing my 'case'?

Looking through the letters that I have kept, HMRC did not write to me to say they intend the challenge the arrangement until 2006 - I joined in 2001. All letters prior to this said they are 'concidering making a challenge'.

            Quelle surprise

IR35 was a waste of money:

This article isn't strictly accurate. "We know that Gordon Brown is obstinate – but he’s not stupid". I can see a flaw in that particular statement

                    JCHR update

Just received this from the Committee.

Thank you for your email. We have had some correspondence about s58 of the Finance Act and the Committee is currently considering how to proceed. I will let you know once a decision is reached,

                    yours sincerely

If you haven't written to your MP about this, now might be a good time to step up the pressure. See link below.
