Has anyone else who has done this in the past received this info from MP as yet?

Also, after having appealed, what happens next? Can I expect to get anything back from HMRC on the matter, and more importantly, are any payments still due? I've read about payments being suspended until the outcome of the JR is known - is this the case?

Finally, regarding approaching ECHR - if MP do not end up pursuing this route (and there is no suggestion by me that MP won't be doing this), I for one would gratefully part with a couple of grand for the cause - how much do these things cost? If there are a thousand of us willing to find 2K... that should help grease someones palms at the very least - even if its a lawyer and not my preferred choice of an MEP.
cant help you on the first question, however my understanding is that payment is suspended until at least the outcome of the JR is known. You should get notification your appeal has been accepted by HMRC along with a revised self assessment which is slightly confusing in that it looks like you have tax to pay, this is because only the additonal tax is suspended, the other amount will be tax you actually did pay for the years in question. you should have nothing to pay for now.

there is already a ECHR case underway by one of the 'big four' (not publically named as far as I know) so I would expect MP to further appeal until the outcome of that is known.

as far as greasing palms is concerned, wish I'd known how corrupt the labour party is before the treasury committee stage, I reckon we could have easily bought 4 votes between us (joking Mr Plod)

I love it that they tried it on with 10 Lords, 5 labour of them Labour. No Tory or Libdem returned the calls, 4 of the Labour peers went for it wholeheartedly, the arrogance of power.

Makes the 'will of parliament' a f***ing joke.

That would not have worked for this because the Lords are not permitted to modify or stop Finance Acts. That's why they are so full of holes.

                  .
I am now Ltd and MP sent me the relevant pages for the few months I worked though them in 07/08. I recieved this about 4 weeks ago after asking TQ. My new accountant incorportated the pages into my overall return and these have just been submitted to our friends at the revenue.

Best advise is to give TQ a quick call and ask for the info you need.

                    if JR fails

with regard to HMRC pursuing people for monies if JR fails...

is this likely if an appeal to the ECJ is underway by MontP or anyone else ???

surely HMRC couldnt take the risk of possibly bankrupting many people, only for their actions to be proved illegal possibly a year or two down the line ??

the cost implications in terms of compensation for destroying peoples lives illegally would be massive !!

Taylor told the reporters: “I will work within the rules, but the rules are meant to be bent sometimes.”

Its only a matter of time until the Labour party fall on their sword.
