How do you intend celebrating? (Assuming 10,000 posts is something that one does actually want to celebrate! )

Perhaps we can ask Mrs BP to buy you a packet of chocolate digestives on our behalf!
      Thank you for noticing!

Its a major milestone for me I must admit! Not sure if you are aware but Light Relief posts don't count! So I also have 17000 test please delete posts - 1300 joke thread posts and around 2700 in the counting thread. So in total I have 31000. At 30 seconds(minimum) a post I have spent minimum 300 hours on here - probably alot longer!

I am basically borderline asbergers/OCD - though someone at montpelier always calls me "nutter"!!

Not sure about celebrating - main goal was to get Godlike(5k) then custom title! I dont think Mrs BP would like the chocolate digestive bits - I am usually limited to 1 plain per day - only get 1 chocolate one on my birthday/christmas!

I might celebrate by having a "drivel fest" in test please delete. Or maybe I will create a "sock puppet" - but I have to be careful. The mods did not take too kindly to "AlanBrannigan" - was banned after just 2 posts!

I would like to request a favour when I get to 10k - I would really like all the lurkers to register/post - now that would be something to cheer. Particularly the chap who sits 10 feet from me at clientco!

Now wouldn't it be something if MrYouKnowWho was to 'delurk' and send you a 'Congratulations' message on your 10,000th post!

C'mon MrYouKnowWho ...we know you're out there reading this...just come on here, say hi and give us a wave! BP would love a cuddle, wouldn't you BP?

I can't wait to see what SantaClaus says after his comments yesterday - I would love to see his face while reading your post!

Out of interest I am the only one on here who HMRC head office knows the true identity off. I think it would be about right if they sent me a CN!!

Astounding the number of people who send their stuff in last week in Sept and then bitch that they haven't had the Return by end of October! Or worse those who send it in with a covering letter dated mid sept but letter post-marked 1st October......

They've heard every excuse in the book - but their fave is someone who had flu and couldn't send his stuff in.... what flu from April to October, I don't think so!!!
It's a fair point but my stuff was emailed in the 2nd week of June and it is now November!

Another lurker coming in to the light

                All,

Many thanks for the BN66 threads - they have been very informative and its comforting to know that I am not the only one going through this fiasco!!

I was with MP from early 05 and left earlier this year to go Ltd. To date I have bought CTD's for approx 1/3 my potential liability and am saving like mad (just in case) so that I can buy more CTD's. My only other asset is my home and I have no intention of giving that up!! I have not received any CN's.

I am optimistic that we will win and to be honest I just want the whole drama to end asap.

Keep up the good work fella's!!!

                      Received CNs for 2 years

I got a closure notice for 2 years. The figures were exactly as predicted by TQ. I scanned them and emailed them to TQ (cc NW) - this was his preference. So if the scan/email option is there for others - this may be the best way to save them time.

I also asked about the "closure" status of my returns. My first year in was 2003-2004 and I first discovered I was being investigated in Jan 2007. I have pointed this out to MP and am happy to leave it in their hands.

As I understand it, this will form part of the appeal against the CNs for these "closed" years. It would seem that the use/invention of "discovery" to reopen closed returns has yet to be explained/justified by HMRC.

I'm not going to get a CTD. I could put something in - but am confident that I won't have to pay HMRC a bean.
And that is regardless of whether we win the JR or not. In the unlikely event that we lose - there will be further options through new schemes and clever accountants to stop these cretins illegally taking our hard-earned cash.
