Erm, yes, sorry, was thinking DK = Donkey. I missed the all important Rhubarb bit

As long as it's not coffee, as we all know that Manchester CID think "coffee" is a codeword for something else.

I'm not quite sure myself what though.

And I do hope the contribution from my friend at HMRC will not be forgotten - you know who you are....

          Surcharge Notices...

I have sent these to MP and they have said that they should not have been sent until at least the 10th December. Didn't say much more but all these little tricks they keep playing must all help our case, so I'm actually quite happy I received them.

Ex MP user new to the forums ....

            Hi all

I am new here and have read most of the forum today with interest.

I was 'with' MP from March '04 - Dec '07 and have to be honest, I am cr@pping myself at the thought of what I might owe.

How can I find out what that might be ? I have emailed MP twice in the last week asking but have had no response at all (apart from a read receipt!)

I have not recieved a CN yet and did get the 'news letter' last week.

Having been around for quite sometime including living thru the JR process when IR35 was brought in. I recall that everyone had an optimistic view in all the PCG forums etc. but the outcome still wasn't good for 'us' and that didn't include a retro part.

I live in hope that this time it will go differently but also live in fear of what the outcome might be. My life has changed in many ways over the last few years which leaves me in the same position as a lot of you folks, in that I simply do not have the cash to pay whatever my bill will be.

I have a house with a mortgage, can 'you know who' take this ?!?!?!? Now I am really scared !!

I sincerely hope that HMRC gets his proverbial lights punched out at the JR or ECHR (wherever it happens to be) and I really hope that I can be there to gloat over the body...

I also think that it is just brilliant that there are more and more people de-lurking...there seems to have been a lot of people who have stepped out of the shadows recently...welcome to you all...you are now part of an ever growing group of people who are refusing to be intimidated by HMRC's underhand actions...with you, we will be even stronger...

also wanted to give credit where credits due...DR and BP...to both of you, A BIG THANK YOU for keeping this thread going and for keeping the faith strong...without your constant flow of information, we would not be as strong...keep up the good work...

I sincerely hope that one day, when this is over and we've beaten HMRC that I can share with you a pint and a meal....on me, of course...
                      Thanks for your kind words.

If we win I think we can push the boat out a bit more than "a pint and a meal".

In fact, talking about boats, I know this one is available for private hire:
