Its just they have been busy with closure notice appeals etcetc. I think the final batch are going out today/tomorrow.

However they will all be submitted at the last moment. For a very very good reason. HMRC have to until 31st Jan 2010 to open an enquiry. This way they have the least possible time!

How can we find out about a date for the JR? I have noticed that the press seem to be able to find out about dates a couple of weeks before hand...
I guess the press know who to bribe!

I understand some JRs take place up to 9 months after submission!

This may stop HMRC treating taxpayers like they've been treating us:

I think doing the returns yourself would be the same as painting a target on your chest!
I am not activily using MP since the agency i use stated that it was the end of the road payments through MP, according to the hmrc I am no longer permitted to claim against the DTA .. so I just thought I would ask the guy who does the accounts for my ltd company to complete the return this time round.

this is for 2007-2008 ... I stopped using MP after the agency i was being paid through ceased doing business with 'offshore' companies .. just after BN66.

A friend of mine did the same and has entered his MP income as self employed income along site the ltd income. .. is that the best approach?

                      thanks in advance. ..
Are you sure the other guy has the correct wording for the 07/08 tax return, otherise he might as well throw in the towel.... just because HMRC say montp can't claim the DTA... doesn't mean montp aren't going to.

counsel told them to fill in the partnership pages which montp have done but montp have also got that very important note which needs to go on the Tax Return also.
